Install your Cool-N-Save in 5 simple steps.

Step 1/5 Locate 20' feed hose and insert one end into the blue fitting on the control valve marker "IN". Push and twist the tubing until approximately 1/2" is inserted into the flapper. Determine length needed to reach water source. If less than 20', tubing can be cut with scissors. If greater than 20', you can either run a garden hose from the water spigot to within 20' of the AC unit, or purchase extra tubing and an extender in our online store.
Step 2/5 Push and twist each of the three 2' misting arms approximately 1/2" into remaining fittings on the Cool-N-Save control valve (do not install nozzles until Cool-N-Save has been flushed). For optimal performance, nozzles should hang approximately 4" over the edge of the condenser and be pointed slightly up and away from the condenser.
Step 3/5 Position the Cool-N-Save™ Control Valve on condenser at the center metal surface so that the misting nozzles are in front of vented air inlet areas on the side of the condenser. The control valve flap should be placed directly above the air stream of the condenser's fan. Some condensers have varied air output areas so it is helpful to feel the output air on top of condenser and place flap over highest output area. Make sure the area where the Cool-N-Save™ body is to be placed is clean and dry. Affix to the condenser using the double sided tape on the bottom of Cool-N-Save™ control valve.
Step 4/5 Insert the free end of the 20' feed line tightly into the small end of the hose adapter, pushing and twisting until 1/2" is inserted. Place the screen washer into the hose adaptor screen first, then insert the black washer. Attach hose adaptor to the male end of the filter, then attach the female end of filter to the spigot or hose and turn on water. If any leaking occurs, make sure washer is properly seated.
Step 5/5 Lift the control valve flap to allow water to flow through the unit for 20 seconds to clean out any debris that could clog nozzles. Carefully install the misting nozzles. Hand tighten only.
